Kathy Montgomery
Kathy Montgomery began her equestrian career over 35 years ago, specializing in the Hunter/Jumper/Equitation realm. She has trained both horses and riders to local and national awards. She began competing as a junior, successfully showing her mount and showing other people's horses. She competed as an amateur riding and showing her own horses and sale horses. She was given the opportunity to take over a training barn and stepped into her professional career. Traveling across the country to compete in shows, she has had the good fortune to work with top trainers such as Todd Minikus, Hap Hansen, James Lala and many others. Every time she has worked with these different trainers it adds to her knowledge, which she is able to share with her riders in lessons and clinics. She is currently the Head Coach of the CSU IHSA Equestrian Team and continues her equestrian career.
